Kids Fest is coming to Sparks Street in Ottawa! If awesome festivities, cool exhibitions and games are your thing, you should definitely check out this event! All of the fun will be happening August 24 – 25 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on both days!
Kids Fest is a outdoor street event in Ottawa geared towards kids age 4 – 14. The street is divided into several zones, including Athletics & Activities, Arts & Crafts and Science & Technology. Each zone features entertainment, games, interactive displays and some very cool hands-on demonstrations! Kids and their families can walk around and choose the activities they want to participate in. There will also be plenty to eat and lots to see along the way!
Plus, this year, The Director’s Cut, a digital media company that hosts in-class movie making workshops, is sponsoring the event. They’ll be handing out copies of THE MAGAZINE at their green screen table! If you’re attending, be sure to check that out!
A new zone has been added this year called the “Safety Zone”, where community fire and police officers are doing workshops about topics such as fire safety tips, fingerprinting and even how to make your own ID card!
Kids Fest on Sparks aims to become an annual event for many years to come. And what better way to celebrate being a kid? If you live in or near the nation’s capital, you won’t want to miss out!
