Tomorrow, Canada’s brand new plastic $20 bills will start circulating. The new bills honour the Canadian military and feature the Canadian National Vimy Memorial on the back. It’s no coincidence that they will be launched just before Remembrance Day on November 11! The polymer (plastic) bills are more secure than earlier bills and they are also easier for banks to verify as real. Today, the revamped twenties will have their official launch celebration at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. We can’t wait to hold and spend the new bills once they start circulating!
