Snow globes make great gifts, souvenirs or toys but they can be pricey and delicate. That’s why we’re here to tell you how to make your own snow globes! Making them is better because you can choose exactly what your snowy scene will be!
Before you start making your awesome new snow globe, make sure there is an adult available to help you with some of the steps.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Small jar with tight fitting lid
- Hot glue gun or super glue (get a grown up to help you with these)
- Water
- Light corn syrup
- Glitter or fake snow
- Plastic figures or toys that you want to use to decorate your scene
HOW TO MAKE:
- With an adult’s help, glue your figurines to the inside of the lid and let them dry completely
- Fill the jar 1/3 of the way with corn syrup
- Add some water
- Mix until the corn syrup dissolves
- Top the jar off with water
- sprinkle in the glitter or fake snow
- Put the lid on the jar tightly and turn over to see your snowy landscape!
- If you’d like, get an adult to help you glue the lid to the jar so you don’t have to worry about it ever coming off
