West 49’s 10th annual Coats for Kids campaign is back! Since 2002, West 49 has been helping less fortunate kids who are in need of winter coats. Since then, the program has helped more than 80,000 families receive warm coats to face the harsh winter.

This year, West 49 is collecting coats once again and offering an extra bonus for people that donate. Anyone who brings in their old winter coat(s) will be rewarded with a $25 off coupon towards a new winter jacket from West 49.

You can drop off your gently worn winter coats into the coat collection barrels located at your closest West 49 store. The jackets will be donated to kids’ shelters and charities around Canada. In the past, West 49 has provided their coats to organizations such as Salvation Army and the United Way.

The campaign began on October 11, 2012 and it will end on November 21, 2012. Plus, West 49 customers can share their experiences, thoughts, comments and thanks on http://coatsforkids.west49.com/

If you have any used jackets hanging in your closet, this is a great way to make someone’s winter a little bit warmer and give your jacket a second life, too!
