A spooky discovery was made in Poland when what seems to be a vampire cemetery was discovered!
The site was discovered by construction workers and it wasn’t just that they stumbled onto 17 buried skeletons that caught their attention, it was the way in which they had been buried! Each of the 17 skeletons was buried with the skull cut off and situated between the arms or legs. What’s more, absolutely no sign of clothes, jewelry or anything else was found with them.
Archeologists believe that the skeletons date back to the 15th or 16th centuries which was a time when a fear of vampires was widespread in Eastern Europe. Therefore, the skeletons are believed to be people who were considered to be vampires since the way in which they were buried (with the skull cut off) was intended to keep them from rising from the dead!
The skeletons are being moved so that their official cause of death can be determined.
