The Apple iPhone’s Siri has been entertaining, helping and even creeping people out for a while now, but we’ve never really known who the voice behind the robotic helper was.
Until now, that is! Susan Bennett, a voice actor with a hefty resume which includes being the voice of ATMs and the GPS for cabs, has been unofficially discovered to be the voice behind Siri. Bennett revealed that she recorded phrases for Siri back in 2005, but was unaware how much her voice would be chopped up and changed. In fact, she didn’t even know she was Siri until her iPhone-owning friend realised that Siri sounded a lot like Susan.
