A flood of entries arrived to the ART OF CARS 2 contest, published online and in the magazine. Among them, one submission stood above the rest. Nine-year-old Nicholas from Ontario sent in a drawing that caught the judges’ eye and earned the top prize, a copy of The Art of Cars 2.
However, the organizers also wanted to acknowledge several other honorable mentions from enthusiastic readers who shared their own visions of cars and color.
From Aaron, 11, BC: Aaron’s entry showed a confident sense of motion and a lively palette that drew attention for its energy and clarity.
From Alexandra, 12, BC: Alexandra’s piece demonstrated thoughtful composition and a bright use of lines that reflected a keen eye for detail.
From Paul, 10, SK: Paul contributed a playful drawing with strong shapes and a bold rhythm that showed his growing storytelling through art.
From Daniel, 9, ON: Daniel offered a clean design with crisp outlines and a sense of speed that captured the spirit of cars as they race across the page.
From Tenley, 9, MB: Tenley’s artwork used vivid color contrasts and expressive marks to convey movement and excitement in motion-filled scenes.
