Buttercup the duck was born with a backwards foot which kept him from being able to walk properly and painlessly. Now, thanks to technology,Buttercup has a new leg to help him walk!

Buttercup became the first duck to receive a 3D printed prosthetic foot complete with a custom fit sock and nylon retaining screw! He took his first steps yesterday with the help of his new foot at the Feathered Angels Waterfowl Sanctuary.

The organisation worked with Dr. Shannon McGee to create the prosthetic foot in order to give Buttercup a much better and easier way to live his life. His backwards foot was amputated in March to make room for his new and improved foot and the rest of history!

Check out the video of Buttercup strutting around on his new foot below!
