One of the world’s most avant garde bands, Arcade Fire, are officially back with not only the promise of a new album to come, but the release of a new single and a music video to accompany it!
The band’s new single, “Reflektor” is a new type of sound for the band while still reminiscent of their earlier works. The producer of the new album is LCD Soundsystem frontman, James Murphy, and this single definitely has a hint of some the dance music LCD Soundsystem are known for.
What’s causing the most buzz about the new single is the fact that legendary rocker, David Bowie, lent his iconic vocals to the song as a back up singer!
The single’s music video was released on September 9 and 9pm (9/9/9) and almost instantly went viral. The bizarre video features the band donning giant papier mache masks of their heads and escaping from an unknown force as well as crawling along a deserted beach.
Though very weird, the video and the song mesh so well together and you’ll likely have it stuck in your head all day!
