Raise Your Voice for Women’s College Hospital
The Avril Lavigne Foundation has launched a campaign called Raise Your Voice to support Women’s College Hospital, a renowned downtown Toronto center dedicated to women’s health. The initiative began on August 31 and invites fans to participate by using sound booths installed in busy venues around Toronto and in other parts of the world. Participants can sing and record their own verse from the inspirational ballad Keep Holding On. Each recording is saved and later combined into a remixed track that will be released later this year on iTunes through Sony Music Canada. All proceeds from the sales will go to Women’s College Hospital.
The project blends pop culture with philanthropy, turning everyday voices into real support for medical care, research and patient services at Women’s College Hospital. The foundation believes the project can raise meaningful funds while offering a personal, memorable way to contribute to women’s health.
Upcoming sound booth locations include: Eaton Centre – September 15; Oshawa Centre – September 20; Woodbine Beach – September 21; Yorkdale Centre – September 22; Toronto Zoo – September 27; Square One Shopping Centre – September 29.
More locations are being added regularly, so fans should check Facebook for updates. Those outside the Greater Toronto Area can still participate by recording at home and submitting it online at singwithavril. The project welcomes voices from around the world and aims to reach a broad audience who care about women’s health services.
This is a unique opportunity to give back to the community and support a cause that benefits women’s health services in Toronto and beyond. The effort holds the potential to raise thousands for Women’s College Hospital, and it invites broad participation from fans, families, and volunteers who want to make a difference.
The campaign also features a video message from Avril Lavigne that explains the mission and invites listeners to join in. As the project unfolds, the team hopes the public will share plans to visit a sound booth and contribute to the collective remix that brings attention and support to Women’s College Hospital.
