It is Beyoncé or Sasha Fierce? It turns out that two personalities are better than one on this double disc affair. One CD showcases an introspective Beyonce on ballads, and the other is Fierce with charged-up, pop/R&B numbers that remind us of some of her better dance songs. Regardless of your mood, ‘I Am’ makes sure to cover its musical bases – and does it well. –AV (SONY BMG) 4/5
