Less than a year after the release of his debut album, Cody Simpson is already back with a sophomore release which is bound to be the anthem of our summer!
Titled ‘Surfer’s Paradise,’ Cody’s describes his new album as the “classic summer album” full of acoustic guitar-based tracks as well as some wildly catchy pop songs like the lead single, “Pretty Brown Eyes.”
‘Surfer’s Paradise’ will hit store and digital shelves on July 16 and is a throwback to Cody’s beginnings with acoustic guitar and combines the inspiration of Cody’s musical idols such as Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Jack Johnson. Cody describes the album as having a “really mellow, acoustic sound to it.”
The album also marks a new first for the young singer as he boasts a production credit for many of the songs, including the recently released “Awake All Night”! The album and its contents are all a message to fans and critics alike that this young beach bum is growing up and becoming more comfortable in his profession.
