Considering the fact that Tyler Medeiros is only 17-years-old, he’s had quite the accomplished music career so far. Three major hits, three music videos, a record deal with IMG label company and touring with Flo Rida and Pitbull are nothing to sneeze at! We got to catch up with the talented young performer to chat about performing live and fan encounters.
What were you feeling when you first walked onstage at the Big Ticket Summer Concert?
It was great, a lot of high energy and it was my third time performing at the Molson Amphitheatre. I already knew the feeling of the stage, but the energy was something that I would have never been able to imagine!
What made you decide to invite a fan up onstage and sing to her?
My fans always give me so much love and support. I’m always thinking of ways that I can give back to them and make them happy. We came up with that idea and they seemed to love it, so we’re going to keep doing it!
What was your most memorable fan encounter?
My most memorable fan encounter was my first time performing at the Molson Amphitheatre… It was actually the first time that a fan was crying for me.
As a solo performer, do you find that there’s more pressure on your to deliver a good performance as opposed to if you were in a band?
Actually, I don’t think there is more pressure being a solo artist. I think there’s more pressure being in a band, because you’ve got to worry about everyone else’s thoughts and what everyone else wants to do. Being a solo artist, you just worry about yourself.
Has your family’s involvement in the music business influenced your desire to sing professionally?
Definitely! It has always influenced me. Watching them perform, watching them grow in the music business and to have them there for me, it’s a great support system.
Thanks, Tyler!
