Not only are Fall Out Boy back, but they’re back to their old tricks again, too!
Known for their creative and inventive music videos as much as they are for their music, Fall Out Boy’s new video for their single, “The Phoenix” keeps up the tradition of a music video full of story.
Picking up where the video for “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” left off with the boys bound and blindfolded in the back of a van, the video for “The Phoenix” goes back to explain how the boys ended up in such a predicament.
The video opens with the band gleefully staring at the mysterious contents of a suitcase to which lead singer Patrick Stump then handcuffs himself before being abducted and tortured by an unknown group of women. One by one the rest of the band is also abducted before the video suddenly ends.
The band’s official website explains the premise of this video and adds, “This is chapter 2 of 11. Stay tuned for chapter 3, coming to a computer, tablet, or phone near you soon.” We’re definitely intrigued!
