Harry Potter fans who own a PlayStation 3 are in for something special.
Sony partners with J.K. Rowling to bring Pottermore, the interactive world of magic, to PlayStation Home. Players build customizable avatars and travel through Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Express, two iconic landmarks in the Potter universe. The experience features four mini games: Book Herding, Wizard’s Duel, Trading Cards, and a Pottermore quiz. Avatars can be dressed in new outfits and accompanied by downloadable pets to personalize their look.
A trailer for the game is available below for a quick glimpse.
Players who reach chapter seven of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on Pottermore can link their Pottermore account to their PlayStation ID to unlock additional content.
Pottermore, the official site by J.K. Rowling, assigns players to houses and rewards points for completing challenges. Progress unlocks content that was previously unavailable.
PlayStation Home is a 3D online community for PlayStation 3 users, a space where players connect and socialize with others around the world.
Pottermore for PlayStation Home is scheduled to launch in April. Are readers excited? Sharing thoughts or joining the discussion on Facebook is encouraged.
