Frontier Developments developed Kinect Disneyland Adventures, with publishing by Microsoft Studios for the Kinect-enabled Xbox 360 console. The game invites players to step into a digital recreation of Disneyland, offering motion-powered exploration and a wide range of attractions built to feel like a real park experience.

According to Jeff Rivait, Xbox Product Manager, the project acts like a ticket into the Disneyland Park. He notes that about 20 main attractions are brought to life with actor performances that animate gameplay, and the park is laid out with fidelity to the real world so visitors recognize the space they would expect to find in the park itself.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures turns beloved Disneyland experiences into fully remote-free mini games. Players can hug their favorite characters, help Peter Pan confront Captain Hook, and move through the park using natural motions. The design allows exploration like walking around the entire park, flying with Peter Pan, and taking part in friendly battles with Captain Hook. The sense of being there is enhanced by the ability to move freely through environments that respond to body movements and gestures.

Hutch Dano from ZEKE AND LUTHER commented after trying the game that it feels really cool to roam the full park, fly with Peter Pan, face Captain Hook, and toss snowballs at the Yeti. His impression reflects the sense of freedom and joy the title aims to deliver, a feeling echoed by players who want a hands-on Disney experience with no console yard constraints.

To celebrate the release and the interactive thrills, a promotional contest invites readers to win a copy of Kinect Disneyland Adventures. The contest calls for following and retweeting TheMagazineHQ’s announcements on Twitter to enter. A sample callout might read: Follow and RT TheMagazineHQ for your chance to win a copy of Kinect Disneyland Adventures. #booyakasha. Readers should note that the entry process is simple and designed to be accessible to fans nationwide.

Details: No purchase is necessary. The contest closes on December 2. It is open to entrants 18 years old or under. Each person may submit one entry per official retweet. A random draw will determine the winners from all eligible responses. Winners consent to the use of their entry and their city in a public winners list, and will be notified via Twitter direct message.
