A worker at a sewage plant in East Kilbride, Scotland, was sharp to catch a goldfish in a filtering net recently. Rescuing the creature, he picked it up, took it inside the treatment building and put it in water. The worker says, “Obviously, someone thought their pet was on its last legs and flushed it down the toilet. The fish has rallied as it made its way through the waste water network underneath the streets of East Kilbride and popped up in our screens totally revived. This is one lucky little fish.” A home is being sought for the goldfish, but for now, it seems content to stay in the sewage plant office, where the workers there have appropriately named him, “Pooh.”
