No one can say 86-year-old Jack Harris doesn’t have patience. He spent almost 8 years completing a 5-foot, 5,000-piece puzzle. However, the proud moment didn’t last that long once they realized a single piece was missing. Jack’s daughter-in-law, Eve, says, “When we saw there was a piece missing from the middle, we just couldn’t believe it.” The Harris family even contacted the puzzle manufacturer to get a spare piece, but the company no longer makes the puzzle. As for where the missing piece went? The family thinks that one of their dogs might have eaten it.
However, the company responded to Jack’s disappointment. They agreed to find the original copy of the design, and replicate the missing piece so Jack could finally finish his puzzle.
