Say it ain’t so! Johnny Depp has revealed that he may not be acting for much longer!
The 50-year-old star of beloved movies like EDWARD SCISSORHANDS and the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise revealed that he looks forward to a quiet life in the future.
“I wouldn’t say I’m dropping out any second, but I would say it’s probably not too far away,” Depp confirmed. “When you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year and you realize that you’ve said written words more than you’ve had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking about that as an insane option for a human being.”
While we hate to admit it, Depp does make a good point! The three-time Oscar nominee was most recently seen in Disney’s big screen adaptation of the classic radio and TV show, THE LONE RANGER, in which he plays Tonto alongside Armie Hammer’s Lone Ranger.
However, before you start mourning his retirement, just remember that this won’t happen for a while yet since PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5 will be hitting theatres in 2015 and shortly after will be the release of the ALICE IN WONDERLAND sequel!
