How much did you love THE HOBBIT? Enough to see it more than once? Enough to memorise the theme song? Enough to see it more than once, memorise the theme song and perform it all by yourself using just your voice?
Peter Hollens, an a capella vocalist, apparently loved the theme song from THE HOBBIT so much that he decided to recreate it. The twist is that while the original version of “Over the Misty Mountains Cold” is a deeply emotional piece performed by a full orchestra, Hollens uses only his natural given talents.
The impressive piece was recreated by Hollens recording himself singing the song over and over again, then editing the versions into one concise song that songs so much like the original, it’s hard to tell which is which without the video!
