Cast Announced for New X-MEN Movie

The directors may have changed, but the cast remains the same for the follow-up in the X-MEN franchise.

Bryan Singer, who is due to direct X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST announced via his Twitter that Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore will all be reprising their roles in the new movie.

Paquin will return as Rogue, Page will once again be Kitty Pryde and Ashmore will play Iceman again. Also returning are Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Of course, Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian Mckellen will once again play Professor Xavier and Magneto.

In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, the X-Men are caught in a futuristic concentration camp and will also do some time traveling. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will therefore return to play the younger versions of Professor X and Magneto.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is due to hit theatres in July 18, 2014.
