Though she’s best known for playing one of Harry Potter’s best friends in the wildly popular and beloved HARRY POTTER movies, Emma Watson has now broken away from the Hermione Granger mold to take her career into a whole new frontier with movies roles that more accurately showcase her talents.
For this she is going to be honoured with MTV’s second ever Trailblazer Award at the MTV Movie awards next month. The Trailblazer Award aims to celebrate actors who are creating a unique career for themselves in their field and who also are inspiring others. Last year’s Trailblazer winner was everyone’s favourite husky-voiced actress, Emma Stone.
Emma Watson has not slowed down since the conclusion of the HARRY POTTER movies and wowed audiences with her sensitive and endearing portrayal of a troubled teenager in PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. She currently has a handful of movies which are due out in the next couple of years including THE BLING RING and NOAH.
Emma is also nominated for three awards at this year’s MTV Movie Awards, including a nod for Best Female Performance. The award show will air live on April 14, so don’t miss out!
