July is here and that only means one thing – summer break has officially begun! Whether you’re travelling or rocking a ‘staycation’, there’s a lot that you can do over the next few weeks.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS fans, rejoice! The ninth book in the popular series by Sara Shepard, ‘Twisted’, is being released on July 5. Also, while you read the series, new episodes of the show are airing on MuchMusic – Tuesdays at 8pm EST.
You can also read THE HUNGER GAMES trilogy and get pumped for the movies which are going to be HUGE! Jennifer Lawrence has been cast as the lead character Katniss Everdeen and Canadian Alexander Ludwig has been cast as Cato. Jennifer is currently starring as Raven in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and Alexander is best known for his role in RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN!

For Potter fans, the Harry Potter movie series comes to an end on July 15 with the release of HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2. As well, the long-awaited Disney animation film WINNIE THE POOH also releases on July 15 following Winnie, Piglet, Eeyore and friends on their quest to save a troubled Christopher Robin – or so they think…
Live It – Summer Tours
Many big acts are in the middle of EPIC summer tours right now.
Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Jessie and the Toy Boys, and Nervo have all teamed up and are touring all summer long. The show stops in Winnipeg, MB on July 4, Montreal, QC on August 11, and Toronto, ON on August 13 and 14.
Taylor Swift has spoken – she wants to see you at one of her many shows! She plays in Toronto, ON on July 15 and 16, Edmonton, AB on August 18 and 19, and Vancouver, BC on September 10 and 11.
Finally, we can’t forget the biggest concert event of the summer – Summer Rush! The show is on August 6 in Dartmouth, NS and August 7 in Vaughan, ON and includes many big names including Emily Osment, Classified, Pitbull, Dev, and Alyssa Reid.
So, don’t be bored this summer…pick something and get off the couch and do it!
