Jessica Sanchez Heads to Glee for a Spring Guest Arc and a New Album
Jessica Sanchez, a standout from American Idol season 11, is set to begin filming a guest role on Glee in early April. She is slated to appear in two episodes, with the season finale scheduled for May 9. Her character is described as a student from a rival school who brings a powerhouse vocal presence that could spark a dramatic on-screen exchange with the show’s stars. This marks a notable foray into acting for Sanchez, who will be exploring a new craft while continuing to showcase her vocal talents on a major television stage.
“It’s going to be a very busy month for me,” Sanchez told reporters. “I’m very excited because I’ve never acted before. I really want to meet Naya Rivera. She’s got that attitude and I love it.”
Aside from her role on Glee, Sanchez is also releasing her new album Me, You and the Music on April 30. She is dating fellow season 11 contestant DeAndre Brackensick, who is 18, illustrating a busy calendar that blends personal life with rising professional opportunities.
Rumors had circulated that she would become Finn’s love interest on Glee, a storyline she addressed with enthusiasm: “Yeah, my mom and my friends tell me, everyone tells me that I am going to be Finn’s love interest! I am very excited if that happens! It would definitely be the role to play!”
