JUNO Writer to make SWEET VALLEY HIGH movie

For almost a year now, JUNO writer Diablo Cody has been working on a script for a movie remake of the 90’s TV show SWEET VALLEY HIGH. Now she’s saying that progress is being made and production will soon be in the works.

SWEET VALLEY HIGH aired 1994-1997, and it was based off of the book series of the same name by Francine Pascal. The series revolved around two twin sisters, Elizabeth/Liz and Jessica Wakefield, both beautiful blondes who lived in the fake town of Sweet Valley, California. It was very much like the CLUELESS show spin off, just with more D-list actors. Whoever remembers when those snap hair pins were cool, you’ll likely find nostalgia in this film remake.

So many questions, like who will play the twins? What part will be reserved for Selena Gomez? In the meantime, we’ll leave you with a taste of what a day at Sweet Valley High was like:
