Disney is doing all they can to ensure that the new STAR WARS film under their studio will be the best one yet! Aside from signing on J. J. Abrams, who reinvented the STAR TREK franchise, to direct the upcoming EPISODE VII, Disney has also secured two of the series’s beloved characters for the new movie: Luke and Leia Skywalker!

That’s right: Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker himself will be reprising his role as the son of Darth Vader to the delight of fans old and new. What’s more is that it’s now been confirmed that the original Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, will also be returning to the big screen, along with her infamous bagel bun hairdo!

Fisher has had a number of ups and down in her career since playing the iconic role in the original STAR WARS series, but the 56-year-old actress is excited to return to the role that made her famous and when asked what Princess Leia would be like today, thirty years after the events of RETURN OF THE JEDI, she joked, “She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home.” Adding, “I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.”

With Hamill and Fisher on board, fingers all across the world are crossed that Harrison Ford will also reprise his role as Han Solo, thus helping to shape EPISODE VII into being one of the better movies in the franchise!
