With season three of GLEE over and done with, television has been missing a great musical number or two. Luckily for us, Family Channel is premiering a brand new movie: LET IT SHINE. It tells the story of two teenagers, Cyrus and Kris, who are reunited with their childhood friend, Roxie, who just happens to be a famous singer. Her record label is hosting a songwriting competition and when Kris gets credit for a rap that Cyrus wrote, it’s up to Cyrus to take a stand and prove to everyone who the real rapper is.
The fun doesn’t stop there. The second season of ANT FARM premieres that day, along with new episodes of GOOD LUCK CHARLIE, AUSTIN AND ALLY, SHAKE IT UP and PHINEAS AND FERB. Don’t miss the encore episode of SO RANDOM! that features Coco Jones, who plays Roxie in LET IT SHINE.
MUSICAL NIGHT OF PREMIERES kicks off June 15th at 4:30pm, with LET IT SHINE premiering at 8:00pm. Following the movie, catch a sneak peak of the new show GRAVITY FALLS which follows siblings Mabel and Dipper who are sent to spend the summer with their Great Uncle Sam.
