What would you do if you were stuck on an island with three nerds and a football star? Oh, and that uncharted island also happened to be crawling with monsters? You can help prepare for such an event by watching the new show NERDS AND MONSTERS, airing on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. on YTV!
The hilarious new show follows a group of tween castaways who must rely on their smarts to survive attacks by the island’s inhabitants – a tribe of hilarious monsters.
Leading the pack of nerds is Dudley Squat. He might be small but his big brain certainly makes up for it! With his persistent (and bossy) ways, he aims to be the leader on the island.
Becky Hooger is the only girl on the island. She’s an animal enthusiast with a love for zoology and anthropology.
Next, there’s Irwin Chang-Stein. His knowledge of sci-fi and fantasy doesn’t erase the fact that he’s scared of everything!
Finally, there’s Stan Grissle, the star lineman of the Beaverton Bulldogs. At school, Stan was at the top of the food chain, but on the island, he realizes that he needs to depend on the nerds in order to survive!
On the opposite end of the spectrum are the monsters. Luckily for the nerds, these guys aren’t too smart. King Zarg is the supreme leader of the monsters and ever since the nerds appeared on the island, it has been Zarg’s job to get rid of them. He is convinced that the nerds have come to take over his island!
Skur is an arrogant flying lizard that is always trying to overthrow Zarg. Along the way, he tries to use the nerds to gain power.
Fortunately for the nerds, not all of the monsters are bad. Lyle is the son of Urp and Durn, a married couple who incidentally share the same body. From the first time he saw the nerds, Lyle was immediately fascinated. After approaching them, he realized that he fits in more with the nerds than he does with the monsters!
