The drama at the Absolute Dance Regionals has reached a boiling point!
We just found out that The Next Step has snagged the wild card spot, pitting them against Seeds in the next round. Emily and Michelle are a bit apprehensive because Seeds has beat them before, but if they can keep it together, they could have a shot.
It’s no surprise to see the dancers from Elite acting over-confident. Amanda even revealed that they are so confident that they’ve already bought their plane tickets to regionals! She then starts to torment Emily with taunts and insults. Michelle has to step in to stand up for her, but Emily storms off, clearly upset. Everyone looks to Eldon… is he going to comfort Emily or not? Eldon admits that relationship isn’t how it used to be and the connection is seriously gone. But thankfully, heputs that aside and gives Emily a pep talk. He cheers Emily up, but doesn’t kiss her for fear of leading her on even more.
It’s almost performance time. Whoever wins between Seeds and The Next Step will go up against Elite in the finals. With both studios being equally talented, it’s anyone’s game at this point.Riley is clearly stressed and reminds James to take it seriously.
Meanwhile, Seeds performs and scores a whopping 91 points, one of the highest ranking scores in the competition so far! The standard is set super high, so it’s really important that The Next Step brings their A game.
When The Next Step hits the stage, their energy is infectious. This is honestly the best we’ve ever seen the dancers perform. They’re in perfect harmony and giving it their all.
After the performance, Riley apologizes to James for putting pressure on him. Once the air is cleared, the dancers head out to hear their score from the judges.
And it’s official, The Next Step racked up 93 points! The dancers are swept up into the moment and we can’t help but smile along with them! Eldon sweeps Michelle off of her feet – literally. Uh oh… Emily is not happy about what is so obviously going on between them.
But the competition is far from over… The Next Step must go head to head with Elite. They need to pull it together as a team and give their best performance ever.
It’s a lot of pressure and to make matters worse, Elite is pulling out the big guns… with a plane! That’s right. Emily says that Elite is using a plane as a prop in their routine.
It’s going to be difficult to top, but the troupe thinks that a duet could be just the thing to create some emotional drama on stage and win the final round. All the dancers want Michelle and Eldon to perform together, except Emily, who is becoming more and more suspicious about their relationship.
She asks them flat out if they think they have enough chemistry to pull it off . Michelle and Eldon look at each other and say yes. Yikes! Emily is clearly upset, but only time will tell how and when she’ll confront them about it.
