Slowly but surely we’re getting the details we want about the upcomingSTAR WARS movie directed by J. J. Abrams.
Geek fansite Bleeding Cool managed to get their hands on the official casting breakdowns for the movie. Open casting has already begun in the United Kingdom and it looks like the new film may have a female lead!
Here’s the breakdown:
- Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.
- Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.
- A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.
- Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit.
- A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.
- Forty something male, fit, military type.
- Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.
The movie will be the first STAR WARS film released by Disney and Abrams has been working closely with STAR WARS creator, George Lucas on the film. We know that the three original stars of the trilogy — Carrie Fisher,Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford — will be reprising their roles, but now we have some details about some of the other characters as well!
