2012 has been a really big year for Taylor Swift and now she has decided to give back to her fans.
Taylor Swift recently released a video on her YouTube account of her singing three of her songs from her ‘Red’ album in Nashville, Tennessee in front of a small group of her fans. Although this footage was released yesterday, it was filmed back in August. Taylor plays acoustic versions of some of her biggest songs such as “Treacherous,” “22” and her hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
In between performances, Taylor makes sure to mention people that were involved in the makings of the songs and what each song is about. Taylor mentions that her song “Treacherous” was written about a time “when you’re falling for someone and you know that it’s dangerous and you know that it could really, really, really annihilate you if it were to not work out. And it could possibly not work out. And it probably won’t work out, but you go for it anyway.”
Before performing her song “22,” Taylor makes sure to mention that this song was written about “all the ridiculous nonsense that my friends and I got into.” Since it is pretty obvious what “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is about, Taylor decided to take another path with her commentary by explaining how the idea for the song came about.
