Based on the novel HERE BE MONSTERS by Alan Snow, THE BOXTROLLS is an upcoming stop-motion animated film that looks like it’s going to be a blast!
THE BOXTROLLS tells the story of an orphaned boy named Eggs who is raised by a misfit group of sewer swelling, trash collecting boxes! However, Eggs and the Boxtrolls’ happy existence is threatened when an evil exterminator sets out to destroy the Boxtrolls and it’s up to Eggs to save the only family he’s ever had!
Though THE BOXTROLLS won’t be released until 2014, its teaser trailer is already gaining attention thanks to the fact that that it prominently features gay couples as parents!The film stars Simon Pegg, Elle Fanning and Ben Kingsley along with a handful of other A-list actors!
