Happy first day of summer! With school ending soon, many of you will find yourselves with more time to watch cartoons. Here are 10 cartoons that are sure to make your summer fun-filled and action-packed!
1) CAMP LAKEBOTTOM will premiere Thursday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT on Teletoon. It follows a bunch of kids who accidentally end up at Camp Lakebottom, an unusually weird camp with monsters as camp counselors and spooky twists on classic camp adventures.
2) A summer classic, PHINEAS AND FERB airs weekdays on Family Channel at 4:00 p.m. ET/PT. Stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher spend each episode working on a new project as they try to make their life-long summer vacation the best one ever.
3) GRAVITY FALLS airs weekends at 2:00 p.m. ET/PT on Family Channel. Twins Mabel and Dipper spend their summer in a strange town called Gravity Falls with their great uncle, Grunkle Stan and his employees at The Mystery Shack. Each episode Dipper and Mabel investigate something spooky, magical or just plain weird.
4) REGULAR SHOW premieres Thursday, July 4 at 6:15 p.m. ET/PT on Teletoon and while it doesn’t specifically take place during the summer, it is set in a summer hotspot: a park. Mordecai, a very tall blue jay, and Rigby, a hyper raccoon, work as groundskeepers at a park. Each episode they attempt to find new ways of having fun and still earn money by going on insane misadventures when they really should be working.
5) New episodes of ADVENTURE TIME will be airing on Teletoon starting Thursday, July 11 at 6 p.m. ET/PT. As Finn and Jake once again explore the grassy and candy filled fields of The Land of OOO, this show will give you a good dose of summer action!
6) SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS airs Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. ET/PT on YTV. Spongebob’s pineapple home under the sea gives us a great beach-themed environment, perfect for the summer.
7) Every week this summer you can catch THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL Monday to Thursday at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT on Teletoon. In every episode, Gumball finds himself in a tricky situation and the wacky assortment of characters in his life have to help him out. This colourful cartoon is the perfect way to start off your summer days!
8) THE AVENGERS: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES airs Fridays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Teletoon. There will also be a four back-to-back episode special on Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m. ET/PT as part of the network’s Superfan Friday programming. With all the comic book movies being released this summer, THE AVENGERS: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES is a good way to keep up with the superheroes in between films.
9) RATED A FOR AWESOME airs weekdays at 1:10 p.m. ET/PT on YTV. Lester, Noam, Lars, Thera and their monkey, Mr. Twitchy, come up with different ideas and experiments to make the world more awesome by trying to ‘Awesomize’ everything and everyone they meet.
10) FISH HOOKS is a new show on Disney XD that airs on weekends at 8:00 a.m. ET/PT. FISH HOOKS is about three teen fish, Milo, Oscar and Bea, who attend Freshwater High together. Even cooler, the three fish wear special suits that allow them to travel outside of their aquarium and have adventures around Bud’s Pet Shop. This show might inspire you to do a little fishing this summer!
