You have until midnight (ET) on Tuesday, December 4 to get your votes in. Check out the top 20 nominees below and then head to the website to place your vote!
BRITISH COLUMBIA
1)COMOX VALLEY – 13-year-old Thomas is the Fun Hunt Ambassador for Comox Valley, British Columbia. Thomas’s destination was pitted against Victoria for a public vote and Thomas won. Jordan spent a summer day with Thomas and his brothers, Markus and Lucas and their family and friends. Thomas took Jordan mountain biking, tubing and wake-boarding and showed him why Comox Valley is such an amazing place to live!
2) WHISTLER -Nine-year old Jade lives in Whistler, British Columbia. Jade is an outdoorsy girl and she loves the fact that whether it’s summer or winter in Whistler, you can always ski, snowboard, and go for a dip in the lake!
3) KELOWNA – Eric (12) and Kyle (11) met Cory (10) at the School of Rock three years ago, where they formed a band. They’ve been rockin’ out ever since! Kyle is a drummer and his older brother, Eric plays guitar. Cory plays guitar and is a singer/song writer. The only thing they love more than music is Kelowna. Especially in the winter so they can go snowboarding, downhill skiing, build forts and get into snowball fights. They’d love the chance to meet Jordan Francis and Victoria Duffield and jam with them.
4) VICTORIA – 11-year-old Jacob would love the chance to win the Cross Country Fun Hunt concert. If Jordan Francis came to Victoria, he’d like to take him to the Victoria Bug Zoo, ice skating at the Oak Bay rink and golfing at the Victoria Golf Club – something people get to do year round in beautiful Victoria!
ALBERTA
5) EDMONTON – 13-year-old Brianna got the “surprise of her life” when Jordan popped in while she was home during his visit to Edmonton this summer. Brianna is a HUGE Jordan fan and she loves to listen to his music. If she won the CCFH concert finale, she’d love to take Jordan sledding and of course to check out Edmonton’s famous West Edmonton Mall.
6) CANMORE – 12-year-old Maya is the Fun Hunt Ambassador for Canmore, Alberta. She took Jordan rock climbing at the Nordic Centre and challenged him to a “dance-off” at the Terpsichore Dance Studio when he came to Canmore this summer. If Maya wins the concert finale and Jordan returns to Canmore this winter, she’d take Jordan skating, dog-sledding and maybe ice climbing. Plus she’d like another “dance-off” competition! The last one ended in a tie…
NORTHWEST TERRITORIES
7) YELLOWKNIFE – Eight-year old Kathryn would be thrilled to win the Cross Country Fun Hunt concert! She’s a huge fan of Jordan’s music and would love to sing a song with him. Don’t underestimate this eight-year-old’s ability to foster support in Yellowknife. She’s not shy to reach out to the community. In January 2012, Kathryn managed to raise $140 for the local SPCA. She believes that this is a chance to show to the rest of Canada why Yellowknife is such a great place to live! Especially in the winter! She’d take Jordan dog sledding, go horseback riding and check out the magical Northern Lights.
SASKATCHEWAN
8) MOOSOMIN – Aidan (9) and Lydia (7) live in Saskatoon, but they’ve spent every summer in Moosomin since 2007. They love to visit and hang out with their grandparents on the farm. When Jordan came to visit this summer, they went to the farm to chase chickens and collect crayfish. They also visited the Windmill Farm and went picking for Saskatoon berries. If Jordan comes back this winter, they’d like to take him tobogganing on the hills around town, head to the bowling alley, and of course, do a winter treasure hunt!
MANITOBA
9) DAUPHIN – Kayla (9), Monique (14) and Melissa (16) are big fans of Jordan Francis and Victoria Duffield and they would love the chance to bring the concert to their hometown of Dauphin, Manitoba. And they definitely believe that Dauphin is the “funnest” place to live in Canada. They’d take Jordan snowboarding, sledding and build snow forts. Kayla is part of a co-ed hockey team and she’d like to set up a pick-up game at the local rink. Then, they’d go back to her place for some home-baked pie!
10) WINNIPEG – Josh and his best friend Brayden would love the chance to have Jordan come back to Winnipeg and wow the city with a free concert. Josh and Brayden showed Jordan some classic skateboarding tricks this summer at the Forks. If they win the concert, they’d take Jordan to the indoor skate park and challenge him to a new skateboarding winter sport: snow skating (it looks like a small snowboard, but without boot bindings).
ONTARIO
11) PICKERING – 12-year-old Josh and his huge group of friends are determined to get Jordan and Victoria to win the Cross Country Fun Hunt finale concert. Jordan “popped-in” on Josh and his friends this summer as he was driving through Pickering. Josh would love the chance for Jordan to come back in the winter so they can all learn to downhill ski together.
12) BARRIE – 14-year-old Reese had a chance to have Jordan visit her this summer in her hometown of Barrie, Ontario, but lost the vote to Niagara. So Reese is now more determined than ever to win the finale concert. If she does, she’s going to be part of the show! Reese and her sister, Taylor (17) are professional baton twirlers and talented dancers. Reese will also challenge Jordan to a classic Canadian winter game of pick up hockey. Jordan may have a serious challenge on his hands, as Reese has played hockey in a co-ed league for nine years!
13) TORONTO – Eleven-year-old Isabelle has been attending the National Ballet School in Toronto for four years and loves it. Isabelle is also a talented modern dancer, but she’s not as hip-hop dance savvy. She’d love the chance to teach Jordan some modern dance and classical ballet moves in exchange for some snazzy hip hop steps.
14) BROCKVILLE – 12-year Drew is determined to win the finale Cross Country Fun Hunt Concert. Ever since he hung out with Jordan and the Fun Hunt crew this summer, he hasn’t stopped getting the Brockville community to support his destination so Jordan can return to put on a spectacular concert with Victoria Duffield. When Jordan visited Brockville and the Thousand Islands this summer, Drew started off by fixing Jordan his signature sandwich: ham, cheese AND peanut butter. Then, they went for a paintball adventure with Drew’s family and friends, a cool down with a Seadoo lesson and wrapped up the day at the Brockville Ribfest by tasting some of Drew’s favourites: Butterfly fries and Bloomin’ Onions. If Jordan returns to Brockville this winter, Drew would like to take him to the AWESOME sledding hill, Laurier Hill. He’d also take him back to his friend’s Gabe’s cottage, where they set up their own skating rink for a game of pick-up hockey.
QUEBEC
15) ST. LAMBERT- Nine-year-old James and his step-brother, Desmond (10) had the surprise visit of their lives this summer when Jordan and the Fun Hunt crew stopped by their home in St. Lambert, Quebec. They quickly set up their DJ booth and challenged Jordan to some hip-hop dance moves. James hasn’t stopped practicing his dance moves and would love the chance to see Jordan again and perform in the concert. James even wrote a song called “Believe” that he would love to share this with Jordan.
NEW BRUNSWICK
16) FREDERICTON- 12-year-old Spencer was in for a treat when Jordan popped in on her Tea Stand at the Fredericton Museum this summer. Spencer owns and operates her own business, Hannah’s Tea Room at the Fredericton Region Museum. She dresses up like Hannah Ingram, a loyalist girl who came to St. Anne’s Point, now known as Fredericton, after the American Revolution. She’d be thrilled to have Jordan return with his special guest star, Victoria Duffield and have a chance to show them fun winter activities in Fredericton, including the Boyce Farmer’s Market and skating at Officers’ Square.
17) HAMPTON- Sisters, Meredith (12) and Ella (10) could not be more proud of their hometown, Hampton, New Brunswick. This summer, they were pitted against the much larger New Brunswick community of Miramichi in a vote and won!
NOVA SCOTIA
18) HALIFAX (LOWER SACKVILLE)- Fourteen-year-old Levi Marshall was the first kid to submit a video on the Fun Hunt website and he plans to be the kid to win the final concert. Be prepared to be surprised with Levi’s creativity to spread the word about his destination. If Jordan does come back to visit Levi in the winter, he’s going to take him to take him to Hatfield Farms for a sleigh ride/wagon adventure, a ride on their mechanical bull and finish the day off with sumo wrestling match. And it’s all on a farm!
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
19) STRATFORD – 13-year-old Lacey showed Jordan the time of his life when he visited P.E.I. this summer. From an exciting balloon ride to a traditional lobster boat lunch to a lesson in step dancing, Jordan got the Stratford treatment. Jordan then showed of his newly learned dance moves in Lacey’s show, “Keltic Kids “on the wharf. Lacey did a fantastic job of spreading the word about her CCFH episode and now she plans to do everything she can to win the finale concert. If she does, Lacey will be very involved in its production. Her ideas range from having the 16-member all-girl Storm Troupers dressed from head-to-toe in their shiny silver costumes greeting Jordan and Victoria at the airport and leading them into town. Then, taking them smelt fishing to get a taste of ice fishing. Plus, ice skating at Dalvay by the Sea – a place where Prince William and Kate visited – and then a competitive curling match at the Charlottetown Curling Club (Lacey is happy to give Jordan some pointers). Lacey and her dancing friends would be thrilled to perform on stage during the concert too. And even though it’s a free concert, Lacey would like people to give a donation for the Charlottetown food bank.
NEWFOUNDLAND
20) CLARENVILLE -Seven-year-old Nathan Butt might be small, but he’s mighty determined to win the Cross Country Fun Hunt concert and bring Jordan back to Clarenville. This summer, Jordan visited him at his karate class. Ever since then, Nathan has been doing everything he can to reel in the votes for his destination on the Fun Hunt map. With the community of Clarenville supporting Nathan, this small Newfoundland town may just win the finale concert. They’ve been handing out over 7,000 flyers, making announcements in schools, promoting it in the local paper and even putting a CCFH float in their Santa Parade!
