Last night, the MuchMusic Video Awards brought the party to the streets of Toronto for an explosive night celebrating the best music videos of the year.

It all kicked off with the red carpet arrivals which had artists like Carly Rae Jepsen, Selena Gomez, Cody Simpson and Far East Movement walking along 6,460 feet of carpet stretched down John Street.

In typical MMVAs fashion, the arrivals were like none we’d ever seen before at an awards show: Katy Perry came with an entourage of mini Katys and Justin Bieber even brought his little brother, Jaxon.

Not to be outdone, the guys of Marianas Trench, who have arrived in everything from a hot tub in 2010 to a giant hamster ball last year, walked the carpet on inflatable horses.

Co-hosts LMFAO kicked the show off with a rocking performance and kept the energy going throughout the event.

Nelly Furtado, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry and Carly Rae Jepsen, who performed separately and with Flo Rida, all took to the main stage for their performances, while Marianas Trench and Hedley wowed on the John Street Stage and Ed Sheeran sang in the Much Studio.

Of course, Justin Bieber closed out the show and brought down the house in an incredible performance of “All Around the World” and “Boyfriend.”
