A deleted scene from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN was recently released and it holds a lot of answers to questions you may have!
If you watchedTHE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, you would know that Ratha was about to go through with his evil plan. But after getting nabbed by the Lizard during the bridge sequence, he was never seen again. Now, the deleted scene answers some nagging questions about what really happened.
The scene shows Peter Parker following Dr. Curt Connors/the Lizard to his New York City sewer system lair. The two genetically altered men talk about Peter’s father, the research he had done and what Connors is planning on doing to Manhattan’s oblivious civilians. Their conversation is then interrupted by the Oscorp executive, Rajit Ratha (Irrfan Khan), who is trying to save Peter Parker from Connor’s Lizard. What we are left wondering is why this scene wasn’t originally placed into the film. It provides a lot of closure for Khan’s character, Rajit, who was literally left hanging from the Williamsburg Bridge in the theatrical version of the movie.
Surprisingly, fans do not like the addition of this scene! Fans are saying that they liked when they thought that Peter Parker was a random boy who got super-spidey-power. With the release of this scene, it is clear that he was chosen because he is the son of Richard Parker.
