CHIMPANZEE is the latest movie from Disneynature. It follows real-life chimp, Oscar, as he goes about his daily life in the African forest. Throughout the feature, we get to see how smart, playful, sensitive and downright human chimpanzees are. Oscar and his family must face difficulties in their forest home and we get the amazing opportunity to be with them every step of the way.
CHIMPANZEE, the Blu-ray combo pack, hits shelves on August 21st. The DVD features extra footage about the chimp-oriented charities as well as Disney’s own Friends for Change, a program that encourages people to make changes in their lives to help our endangered animal friends. There’s also an interview with Jane Goodall, the famous anthropologist who studied chimpanzees and founded the Jane Goodall Institute for chimp research. The Blu-ray includes all this, plus behind-the-scenes footage that shows how the film was made as well as a featurette about the 30 years of chimp observation done by a team of researchers.
