What happens when a cave-dwelling family goes on an adventure in a colourful, prehistoric fantasy world? Just enough magic to make THE CROODS one of the most anticipated films of 2013. Yesterday, the first trailer was released. It’s safe to say it has made us even more excited for the upcoming DreamWorks animated film, which hits theatres on March 22, 2013.
In the movie, Emma Stone (THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) voices Eep, a girl who dreams of leaving her family’s cave to explore the wonders of the world. Her protective father, voiced by Nicolas Cage, makes this a bit difficult by forbidding it. Her dream becomes a harsh reality when an earthquake forces the family to leave behind their cave and embark on a search for a new home. Along the way, they meet a quirky boy named Guy, voiced by Ryan Reynolds, and a whole slew of surprises!
Judging from the trailer, THE CROODS looks like it’s full of adventure! We can’t wait for the film to come out in the spring. Plus, a video game is also set to be released by D3 Publisher.
