Mondays, once known as the most dreaded day of the week, are now going to be our favourite because THE NEXT STAR is starting again! The hit show, which finds young singing sensations across Canada, is coming back to YTV for its 6thseason on Monday, July 15.

The show’s talented judges, Keshia Chanté, an R&B singer, Mark Spicoluk, a music industry exec and Tara Oram, a country singer, will be returning to give their wonderful insight.

As fans ourselves, we can’t wait for this season to start because there are a bunch of new and exciting elements to look forward to!

First off, we finally know who the new host is!Carlos Bustamante, who you may recognize from YTV’s THE ZONE and BIG FUN MOVIES, will be hosting both the auditions process and the competition itself.

Also new this season is a feature called Next Star Nation, which allows fans to connect with the series on a different level. From their tablet or smartphone, fans can view behind-the-scenes footage, live tweet and interact with other fans!

As if that wasn’t enough, THE NEXT STAR will have two aftershows online too! They are called THE NEXT STAR AFTERSHOW and BACKSTAGE PASS, which will be hosted by Next Star Nation’s Mark “Suki” Suknanan.

This season is already looking action-packed and super exciting! As usual, we expect the show to have some unexpected twists and awesome special guests, of course.

Be sure to tune into YTV at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, July 15! Are you excited for this season of The NEXT STAR?
