Will the drama ever end?
James and Beth are at a competition waiting to go onstage. James is still unsure if going to the competition was a good choice. He’s still really hung up on Riley. Beth shakes his worries out of him and they do an amazing performance, even getting a standing ovation from the crowd.
Meanwhile, at the studio, Riley and James are scheduled to work on their duet but both don’t show up. Kate is not impressed.
At Culture Shock, Eldon is trying to cheer Riley up when he accidentally tells her that James DID go to the competition! Riley is outraged and storms off.
Back at the studio, Kate calls everyone together to announce that James and Beth placed second in their duet competition! She then calls James and Beth into her office for a private meeting.
Beth asks Kate for a few days off from duet rehearsal so that she can clear her mind. Kate reluctantly agrees, but after those few days she wants to see some progress on the duet.
Michelle is getting a drink at Culture Shock when she notices how well Emily and Hunter are getting along. It makes her very uncomfortable. She is hoping to talk to Eldon to find out why he has been avoiding her. But he is still acting weird and leaves as soon as he can!
Eldon is in the studio rehearsing his solo when Emily walks in. She wants to talk to him to see how he and Michelle have been doing. His answer doesn’t help her at all; he still hasn’t made up his mind whether he and Michelle are still dating.
Hunter goes to talk to Michelle to re-establish their connection, Michelle confides in him about her worries with Eldon. Hunter tells her that if she were his girlfriend he would be spending every waking moment with her. Their conversation reminds Michelle of the feelings she used to have for Hunter.
Michelle is tired of waiting so she goes to Eldon to ask why he has been acting so weird. Eldon tells her that he needs space and they should break up. Michelle is shocked and hurt.
