Move over traditional TV—TONALLY AMP’D arrives as an app-exclusive series crafted for touch screens and on-the-go viewing. It launches as a teen-focused program that lives entirely on mobile and tablet devices, delivering an immersive, interactive experience that invites viewers into the world of a rising band and the high-stakes journey toward fame.
The app isn’t limited to streaming episodes. It opens a suite of interactive features that fans can explore: watch the appisodes, dive into music videos, record original tracks, edit clips, and customize each character’s wardrobe to reflect personal style and mood.
The story centers on the band Totally Amp’d and its members Aria, Brando, Tyler, Madison, and Lexi as they enter a high-stakes competition that could push their music careers to the forefront. Guided by their mentor Zoe Jones, played by Ashley Leggat, they must navigate differences, face obstacles, and collaborate to seize a shot at their big break.
“It’s such a new concept and a new format that I’ve never done before,” Demetrius Joyette commented at the launch event. “I’m excited to see where it’s going to go and where it will take us.” He also spoke candidly about the challenges of Brando, noting that the character is a singer, dancer, and rapper who doesn’t dance often and had to push himself to learn quickly—an experience, he said, that was surprisingly fun and rewarding.
The rest of the cast offered their own glimpses into their characters. Amanda Thomson explained that Madison’s idol is Christina Aguilera, a musical influence she shares, while noting Madison isn’t always as harsh as she sometimes sounds, insisting she means well even when she’s bossy.
Cristine Prosperi described Aria as very different from herself, stressing that they share talents but depict distinct personalities—Aria being quiet while Prosperi is more outgoing—making on-set dynamics a refreshing contrast.
Tyler, played by Brock Morgan, is described as the classic guitarist who records and writes songs, acting as the glue of the group. Morgan suggested that his own experience with guitar and singing helped him connect with the role, which, in his view, mirrored the character’s central place within the band.
The first appisode, along with all related interactive features, is now available for free download, while the full content can be streamed for 4.99. For more details, visit the official site and watch the first episode below.
