Talk about royalty! Prince William joined Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift in a live, impromptu performance of the ’80s hit “Livin’ On A Prayer.” The event took place at a charity gala on November 26.
Video footage of the performance shows the trio perform the song acoustically, then Swift giving Prince William an enthusiastic high five after the finish. The impromptu singalong happened at Kensington Palace at a charity concert arranged by Prince William to benefit Centrepoint, a local homeless charity. It must have taken a lot of guts for the Prince to shed that stately air and get up onstage!
Only 750 tickets were available for the first ever concert at the west London palace. Taylor Swift was thrilled to be included, telling magazines that”This is my first time playing at Kensington Palace or any palace for that matter.”She added that it was important the gala concert was supporting at-risk youth, who were dealing with more than most people are at what was already a difficult age.
Other guests at the event included the actor Benedict Cumberbatch and singers James Blunt and Tinie Tempah. Check out the live recording below!
