With each installment anticipated greater than the last, some may wonder if the iPhone 5 could ever live up to the hype. While we’ll never know for sure until we have it in our eager hands, but that’s about to become that much easier since Apple enthusiasts can expect not one, but two iPhones shortly being set free onto the market. They were announced at 10 AM today on the Apple campus, and people in London and NYC have already begun to line up. There isn’t very much information for now as even the design hasn’t yet been revealed—which may make it tough to choose!—but here’s the scoop on what we know:
DOUBLE THE FUN – The iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S will most likely both be released at the same time, with varying price tags and memory, ranging from 16GB to perhaps all the way at a whopping 64GB.
THE BIGGER THE BETTER – The iPhone 5’s screen will be larger, though the new phone won’t automatically be bigger (the wonders of thinking outside the box!). The iPhone 4S will be the same size and model as the current one, which is good—or bad—depending on how you look at it. For you brand-new fiends, the iPhone 5 is for you. For those who love sticking with the classics but are excited for an update, the iPhone 4S may be more your speed.
THE MORE THE MERRIER – 1 GB of RAM (internal memory) and an 8-megapixel camera are just two of the new installments in the iPhone 5. Say “cheese”!
FAST AND FURIOUS – Say goodbye to lag frustration, at least when it comes to browsing the web on your iPhone 5. Tech gossip states the iPhone will have three times as fast a data connection, so you won’t even have to wait around next time you want to surf through our blog—imagine the possibilities!
THEY’RE STILL ON THE BALL – Despite Steve Jobs’s unexpected retirement as Apple’s CEO, his influence will be easily visible in the new iPhone, though we’re not sure in what way. No matter what, the launch of not one, but two iPhones at once is a testament to his amazing success and makes us hope he lives to continue his dream and take Apple beyond the limit.
Even though it seems as though customers start to line up for the next iPhone as soon as one drops, no specific consumer product has ever been this greatly anticipated. We could practically hear the world buzzing as soon as the iPhone 4 was released. Now we’re on the edge of our seats for the latest installments—we’ll keep you updated on whether they live up to the hype…or if Apple is past its prime. Tune in next time!
