We are proud to launch our latest and greatest version of themagazine.ca since we made our debut on the web back in the late 1990s.
Here’s a look at some of the cool new features we have in store for you (refer to the screen shot of our new website on your right!):
- MAIN NAVIGATION: This is where you will find the most important links on our site. Subscribe or renew your subscription with the click of a button, review the latest features posted on themagazine.ca, get a list of all the contests that are currently running, access our message board — the Mag Board — where you can interact with hundreds of other readers just like you, watch our latest YouTube videos, or submit your ideas/short stories/poems/drawings/pet pictures/movie and book reviews or anything else you can come up with for TheMagazine by clickingContribute!
- LATEST ISSUE: On our homepage you will find all the information you need on what’s inside the latest issue of The Magazine on newsstands now.
- FEATURED: This section of our homepage highlights some of our favourite articles and contests on our site at the moment. We’ll change these featured posts every so often to draw your attention to items we think you might like.
- COLUMNS: Each of our regular columns that make the printed version of The Magazine so great, now have their own home online! This slider will scroll through our most popular columns, including Cancan, Earth,Eats, Flip, Friends, Hear, Network, Play, Screamgal, Style, Ten, and Watch. Click on one to start browsing articles from that column!
- LATEST UPDATES: Here’s a list of the very latest articles to get posted on our website, no matter what column they’re from. Keep checking back daily for more entertainment news, reviews, and updates!
- HOT TOPICS: This is a dynamic list that updates with the ten hottest threads on the message board at any given time. Click on one of these topics to read the conversation that other users are having and join in!
- LATEST VIDEO: Our latest video will always show up on our retro TV screen, so you can watch these “Magisodes” no matter which page you are viewing on our site.
- TWITTER: The world is aflutter with Twitter and The Magazine is no exception. Here you will find a live feed of our latest tweets from The Magazine’s headquarters in Toronto, Canada. For up-to-the-minute entertainment news and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Mag, follow us on Twitter!
- FACEBOOK: Click our “Like” button to show your support for The Magazine on Facebook.
- POPULAR TAGS: So, you want to read every article about Harry Potter on themagazine.ca but don’t want to comb through each column individually? No problem! Our articles are “tagged” with key words to describe what each one is about. If you click on “Degrassi,” you’ll find every article posted on our site about Degrassi from across all columns.
- THE VAULT: The Magazine has a HUGE archive of oldies but goodies — articles whose columns have been retired from The Magazine, but whose content is still relevant and, above all, interesting. With each page that you click, we’ll dig out a new article from The Vault and showcase it to you here.
- MOST RECENT/MOST COMMENTED/MOST VIEWED: Which articles were posted most recently? Which articles are attracting a lot of conversation? This section will let you know!
- SITE MAP: At the bottom of every webpage, you’ll find separate links for each of our columns and features on themagazine.ca. Articles, contests, comics, and our message board are only a click away.
- INFORMATION: For more information about The Magazine, including a brand new archive of old covers from the Jr. Jays Magazine and Kids Club, details on the latest issue and a list of stores where it is sold, these links will point you in the right direction. You can also Contact Us.
