Nickelodeon is well-known for bringing great shows to its viewers. THE FRESH BEAT BAND has been airing since 2009 and continues to be a favourite among music-loving audiences. Their TV movie, THE WIZARD OF SONG, is a retelling of the classic WIZARD OF OZ film.
When Marina gets swept up in a storm, she finds herself in the Land of Oz. To get back home, she must find the wonderful Wizard of Song. Along the way, she must avoid the Wicked Witch who wants to steal her new shoes. Marina meets some very familiar faces and soon becomes friends with the residents of Oz. Will they be able to find the Wizard?
THE WIZARD OF SONG is full of fun tunes and wacky characters. The DVD includes two episodes: “Ghost Band” and “Chimps in Charge.”
Singer Jason Mraz makes a special appearance as the Wizard. He’s quite a good actor! And yes, he does sing in the movie!! THE FRESH BEAT BAND: THE WIZARD OF SONG will be available on DVD on August 14th.
