Nirmala Toppo is only 14-years-old, but is already the heroine of her small town in India thanks to her incredible ability to communicate with elephants!

After her mother was tragically killed by an elephant when Nirmala was a child, the girl decided that she would learn the ways of the elephants in order to provide a more peaceful and safer life for both humans and pachyderms.

She credits her “skills” to simply praying and then talking with the elephants in her native tongue. Surprisingly, the elephants actually listen to her which has gotten Nirmala nicknamed “Lady Tarzan”!

Whenever there is a stray herd of elephants coming too close to the little village, it’s not the authorities who are called to deal with the problem, but young Nirmala who has even walked hundreds of miles into the forest with the elephants in order to help them find a home away from her village!

Though many people doubt Nirmala’ ability, there’s no arguing with results!
