Selena Gomez recently released her single "Come & Get It" and unveiled a major announcement that is bound to delight fans. The singer confirmed a forthcoming world tour, the Selena Gomez Stars Dance Tour 2013, slated to start in August with a first stop in Canada, specifically British Columbia. She also hinted that new music would accompany many performances, giving listeners a fresh blend of songs and dance-driven showcases.

During a chat with Ryan Seacrest, Gomez shared excitement about the tour, saying, "It's going to be a big show. I'm excited. I've been dancing a lot and I just want to entertain people and I'm super stoked. I kind of missed shows when it used to be about the dancing and the performing as opposed to how big and elaborate the stage is, so I kind of want to get back to that. My favourites were Britney Spears and Janet Jackson, so I kind of want it to be a bit more dancing and make it about entertainment and about the show and the songs as opposed to how big the stage and effects are."
