Fans of Big Time Rush are buzzing about a summer tour. Even in the middle of winter the energy around the group is palpable as a new chapter of live performances approaches. In a recent Twitter Q and A with Kendall Schmidt fans asked about costume changes in the first episode of season four, about the moment when a sweater proved too small at Coachella, about what he would do with ten thousand dollars, and about who he would want to play him in a movie. He named Samuel L. Jackson as the actor he would choose to portray him. When asked if the group would go on tour this summer the response was a firm yes.
Big Time Rush has a documented touring history. In 2012 the quartet lined up two stadium tours to promote the Elevate album. The Better With You Tour ran in the winter, followed by the Big Time Summer Tour in the summer. On the first leg JoJo and One Direction served as openers. The American dates of the summer leg featured Cody Simpson, Leon Thomas III and Rachel Crow, while Canadian dates welcomed Victoria Duffield and Tyler Medeiros. Both journeys included cities across the United States and Canada, and the second trek even stretched into South America.
After taking a much needed break from nonstop touring the group is back in action. They are currently filming season four of their Nickelodeon show and recording songs for their third studio album. With a new television season a new music project and a summer tour on the horizon fans have plenty to anticipate this year and the trio of projects signals a bustling year for the band.
