We’ve all been patiently waiting for THE WIZARDS RETURN: ALEX VS. ALEX one-hour reunion special of WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE. Even though we still have a few months to until it premieres, we’re one step closer with the first official shot released from the show!
The picture that was released shows Selena Gomez, who plays Alex Russo, on top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, in an all black leather body suit, pointing a wand into the air!
According to E!, “The one-hour episode begins with the Russo family and friends traveling to Tuscany, Italy to meet their long-lost relative, but they run into a little problem when Alex tries to prove she’s more than a seemingly carefree young wizard. Without realizing it, she conjures a spell that creates a Good Alex and an Evil Alex… When Evil Alex gets roped into a plan to take over the world, Good Alex must find a way to save her family and humankind, which leads to a monumental battle between the two versions of herself.”
Beau Mirchoff, star of the hit TV show AWKWARD, will also be making a guest appearance in this one-hour WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE special, and will be taking on the role of another evil wizard. Beau shared his thoughts on working with Selena Gomez on the show by saying she was “So cool. She’s awesome; she’s so good.”
