One Direction’s new album, ‘Take Me Home’ doesn’t officially come out until November 13, but you don’t have to wait until next Tuesday to hear the tracks. Today, the band announced that a stream of the full album is now exclusively on the iTunes store, allowing fans to listen to all the new 1D songs one week early! The album includes their #1 single, “Live While We’re Young”, plus their second single, “Little Things”! The band collaborated with other talented musicians, including Ed Sheeran, McFly’s Tom Fletcher and Rami Yacoub to co-write the songs. If you loved 1D’s debut album, ‘Up All Night’, you’ll likely love the band’s second studio album just as much. Here are our first thoughts on all of the tracks:
1) Live While We’re Young – Yes, we’ve all heard this song a million times already, but there’s no denying that it makes for the perfect, punchy opening track of ‘Take Me Home’!
2) Kiss You – This one is a little bit quirky and so upbeat! We love the clapping and bet it will only a few days for everyone to start singing “Yeah!” along with the guys.
3) Little Things – Sweet, soulful and acoustic… and just when we thought One Direction couldn’t get more adorable!
4) C’mon, C’mon – Certainly not as catchy as the rest of the album, but it seems like an easy going, bass-heavy jam to listen to during long car rides.
5) Last First Kiss – This song screams “boy band”, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. All in all, a very heartwarming lovey dovey track.
6) Heart Attack – A fun song that gives an energetic twist to the break-up ballad. “And I’m like, ‘Ow!'” We love it!
7) Rock Me – If the title didn’t already clue you in, this song has a bit more of a rock vibe, but doesn’t completely abandon 1D’s trademark pop sound and harmonizing.
8) Change My Mind – This one drags on a bit, but every album needs a slower, sweet tune to mix things up.
9) I Would – How funky is this song? We adore the “L-O-V-E” part, especially in those cute British accents.
10) Over Again – This one has Ed Sheeran’s name written all over it. The lyrics are so incredible, we could listen to this song over and over and over again!
11) Back For You – Even with some whiney parts, this song is still catchy enough to leave you singing it long after the first listen.
12) They Don’t Know About Us – Is Louis the star of this album or what? Listen to that incredible solo. We’re swooning!
13) Summer Love – This one brings us back, full circle, to the band’s summery beginnings. We can still see the boys lip synching their heart out on the beach in the “What Makes You Beautiful” music video. 1D has exploded in popularity since then, but they’ll always be remembered as our summer love!
